ADULT SAILING PROGRAMS

Have you ever watched your child sail and thought, “I’d love to try that!”  or maybe learning to sail has always been on your bucket list?

Now’s your chance!

VYBA offers a variety of different sailing sessions designed just for adults. This beginner-friendly course follows the US Sailing Basic Learn to Sail curriculum. From your very first day, you’ll gain hands-on experience with seamanship and water safety, building the skills and confidence to rig and sail your own boat by the final session.

Your registration in classroom and on-the-water instruction, beginner friendly boats and guidance from experienced, passionate instructors.

Adult Beginner Sailing Lessons

Cost: $400 per sailor

Includes: 15-20 hours of classroom and on-water lessons

Weekday sessions: Monday - Friday 9am-2pm (lunch not provided)

 January 27-30th

February 10th - 13th

February 24th - 27th

March 10th - 13th

April 7th - 10th

Weekend Sessions: Saturday and Sundays 9am - 2pm

THIS IS A TWO WEEKEND COURSE

February 14th - 22nd (two Sats and Suns)

March 7th - 15th (two Sats and Suns)

April 4th - 12th (two Sats and Suns)

Adult Spring Break Camp

4 Friday evenings in March

Dates: March 6th, 13th, 20th, & 27th

Times: 4pm - 8pm

Introduction to Sailing Session

4-hour daily hands-on sailing instruction

Cost: $150 per sailor

Includes: 4 hours of hands-on sailing instruction with a certified instructor

(this is a group setting and not a private lesson)

Offered: Upon Request

Morning Session: 9am – 1pm

Afternoon Session: 4pm – 8pm (2pm - 6pm Winter months)

Friday Social & Family Sails

Cost: $50 per sailor

Bring a friend/family member: $25

Children under 8: Free!

Pre-requisite: Sailor (adult or child) must have completed a VYBA Learn to Sail course or have comparable sailing experience

(Sail a 420, Opti, or Sunfish)

Rigging at 430pm and sailing until 730pm

Requirements:

• Ability to swim, lift, bend, and move

• Coast Guard–approved life jacket

• Refillable water bottle

• Closed-toed water shoes

• Positive attitude and readiness for fun!
