· MISCELLANEOUS
1. Thanks to Venice Yacht Club members who play bingo every Tuesday night because a percentage of those monies come to VYBA. In addition, there is a Trivia contest on the first Thursday of each month, and VYBA receives a percentage of those funds.
2. Appreciation also goes to Jack and Janice Stevenson who presented the trophies following the David Swett Memorial Regatta on May 22. Jack is the VYC’s Fleet Captain for Sail and they knew the late Mr. Swett very well. They also handed out the Spring Series awards.
3. Joy Purcell provided the baked goods that were distributed after the awards ceremony. Her daughter, Courtney, has been helping in the Pram Shed this spring. Thanks to both of them.
4. Michelle Thomas and Bryan White held field day (that’s Navy parlance for cleaned up) in the Pram Shed last Friday. They did such a good job, your erstwhile editor can’t find anything.
5. Congratulations to Justin Frow for catching a 13-inch Snook during the VYC fishing tourney.
6. Kudos go to Sara Frajerman who ranks in the Top 10 in the world of Tae Kwon Do.
7. We need skippers to sign up for Blake Waldron’s Laser class that begins next Monday. We have only two and we need six. Also, he has Optimist class that starts June 28. We need two.
