Decorating will take place the week of Dec. 1 in the evenings. Our theme is Charlie Brown’s “Peanuts” and we already have a Snoopy inflatable available, but if anyone has extra lights, please let us know soonest.

3.      The Jim Pique Memorial Regatta runs from 0800 to 1600 with a break for lunch, which is being provided by the Bitter Ends (VWSS). No sign-up is necessary. Just be here.

MISCELLANEOUS

1.      High school sailors must keep our 420 away from the racks. Failure to do so will result in your Laser being moved to rack No. 8 to let you see what it is like to deal with those 420’s.

2.      Green Fleet sailor Sara Frajerman, who also takes American Tae Kwon Do, captured first place in sparring at a major match in Atlanta on Nov. 14. She won her final match, 6-0.

3.      Policy revived: Sailors who leave their clothes adrift or who fail to put up their gear (blades, spars, etc.) or who forget to bring their life jackets will have to fill a small bucket with weeds from the shell pit. A second offense will mean filling a bigger bucket, and so on.

4.      Tom Lawlor will be asking parents to assist in keeping track of our Opti dollies, especially since we lost one at the River Romp Regatta.  As an aside about that regatta, general consensus was that there was more wind and less current than expected.
